I am not usually the type to squeal.
I have always been unaffected by horror films (although I avoid the nastier modern ones).
I’ve never screamed at a pop star, even when I was of an age where it wouldn’t have looked ludicrous. And if I went on fairground rides, (which, after a nasty experience I don’t) I doubt I would squeal either – I’d be too busy trying to keep my dinner down.
But I actually made an involuntary shriek when I opened the parcel that arrived in the mail yesterday morning.
Not because something nasty fell out. Quite the opposite, in fact.
The contents of my parcel from Julie at Vintage Attitude made me squeal, involuntarily, with delight. Because I really wasn’t expecting such wonders.
Julie and I agreed to a swapsie – something she had found in a charity shop, for some patchwork squares from me. She mentioned that she had also collected “a few scraps” for me, and would pop those in the parcel too.
But her parcel contained so much more than a few scraps…
I’ve just about calmed down now. But I’m still reeling with the extent of Julie’s generosity. (I owe you one Julie!)
I’ll show you the other thing in the parcel, the thing I actually swapped for, tomorrow.
It’ll give you chance to prepare yourself.
Otherwise, you might just let out an involuntary squeal too. ♥
Will continue to collect “scraps”….I hate waste so am happy to make you squeal!!
I’m pretty sure I had a skirt made of that giant chrysanthemum print back in the early 70s….
Jealous! What a brilliant parcel, I love it!
Those fabrics are inspiring!
Oh what pretties … I’d have squealed too … Bee xx
Ha – fabulous! I have been known to let out a squeal in a charity shop upon finding something lovely – usually a crocheted blanket 🙂
