It’s funny, getting ready for a craft fair.
You think about it for months. Planning what to make to sell, how to display it, all the little tasks that need to be done to prepare everything.
And then, before you know it, time slips away and you are panicking and running around like a headless chicken, doing everything at the last minute.
That’s how it always feels to me, anyway.
In preparation for The Secret Garden Craft Fair on Saturday, I looked over my stock last night.
And had a sudden panicky feeling that there wasn’t quite enough of it.
I thought: what can I make over the next couple of days?
I made a nice new cushion.
I wasn’t going to do cushions this time, I really wasn’t.
But I seem to have changed my mind. ♥

The “hell hanging” is my piece for in the Art In Shops exhibition during Sherwood Art Week – temporarily parked there until I can install it on Friday!
I had to think of a title for the “hell hanging” – I almost called it that, then changed my mind and decided to call it “Say it with flowers” instead.
The cushion police will *not* be calling. You did it to yourself, now just relax and enjoy it! The hanging and cushion make a great set!
Yes, after saying that I hated doing appliqué cushions only yesterday, it occurred to me that I hadn’t made any for AGES and that my Art Week exhibition piece (on the wall behind the cushion) might encourage a few sales / commissions via my stall!
And I didn’t hate doing it! Sufficient time has passed for it to feel good again, obviously!
How do I join the cushion police? That’s a job I think I’d enjoy!
