Excuse my language, but there’s not really any more fitting way of putting it.
Yesterday, I literally had a shitty morning.
The downstairs toilet leaked the contents of it’s macerator – everywhere.
After popping out for some heavy duty rubber gloves, I spent much of my morning mopping up the ensuing mess. It was not pleasant.
My afternoon was much nicer though…
After a spot of social media blog-spiffery and facebook-page-primping with Ali Bee, the plumber arrived and fixed the leak. And for not too much money, thankfully.
After his departure there was just enough time to cut and iron these patchwork squares ready for a swapsie with Julie of Vintage Attitude, before lad needed feeding.
I’ll show you what I’m swapping the patchwork pieces for, once it has arrived.
It’s a bit kitsch-tastic. I can’t wait to see it in the flesh!
And a dose of lovely vintage fabrics was just what I needed, to flush the morning’s revolting activities right out of my mind.♥
Lovely swapage thank you! Glad your swampage cleared up.
Glad you like them! I will be parcelling them up and heading to the post office later today.
Great. Email your address…pop in post on thurs…no chance till then.
Will do!
Oooh, love the really loud pansy print at bottom left! My sympathies on the dunny-diving activity. At least the pain was short-lived…
Dunny-diving! Urghhh! Glad no diving was involved! The worst part was clearing out the over-stuffed cupboard behind the loo where all the workings are concealed – fishing tins of paint, soggy cardboard boxes, garden toys and bottles of wine out of raw sewage was not nice!
Urk! I think you deserve a large sticky bun and a nice cup of tea for your efforts.
Mmmm, sticky buns… I think you’re right. I’m still washing my hands VERY frequently before I eat at the moment – I think I’m becoming germ-phobic!
I bought the pansy print in an op shop in Australia, by the way!
