I got a reminder this morning in my email.
Louise from Hope and Elvis reminded me that I’m going on a workshop on 25th October – with Jess Quinn!
For those of you who haven’t come across Jess’s work before, she makes “small art”, encompassing clay, textiles, drawing, knitting, needle felting and painting. I first came across her at the Selvedge Winter Fair.
The reason I particularly love Jess’s work is that she creates characters.
Jess herself seems to have a constant wellspring of imagination to create new and exciting work. I am very much hoping some of this will rub off on me when I meet her.
Louise’s email also contained an offer…
There are a few places left on the workshop with Jess. If I bring a friend we both get a £25 discount on the workshop price (assuming all the places haven’t already been filled). You can find out more about the workshop here.
Should you be interested, drop me a comment. ♥
I would have loved to join you. Her work would be great inspiration I have for an idea for my embroiderers guild exhibition next year but I’m teaching. If she has a mailing list on the day please can you add me to it. Look fwd to seeing what you make:) will look her up on Facebook tho xx
Oh, that’s a shame on the timing Jan! Will certainly pick up any literature that’s going for you.
