The one I put away.
I put it away partly because I couldn’t decide whether to make it any bigger. And if I was going to make it bigger, how much bigger, and how exactly was I going to do it?
I also put it away partly because of the fear of messing it up completely.
But having just finished my twinkling stars quilt, I was on a quilting high.
I decided to ride that wave and get it sorted.
The quilting’s done! I went for in-the-ditch this time. Done and dusted in an afternoon. Yay!
Not without trauma though, as my machine was having a distinctly off day.
It thought it had thread stuck inside it somewhere. And however many times I cleaned it, it kept telling me so. I got quite cross with it, I can tell you.
But we got there in the end.
I’m half way through doing the binding now.
What to bind it with was a tough decision (even tougher than deciding on the backing), which involved pulling out every orange and yellow fabric in my entire stash.
But now I’ll have to put my quilt to one side again.
I need to finish preparing for my stall on Saturday. I have garden tables to mend, tablecloths to iron, labels to sew on, displays to decide upon.
But I’m still on a quilting high.
Must be about time to start another one. ♥
That’s such a happy quilt! Looks a perfect size to cuddle up in on a cold night.
Hooray for a quilting high! Pulling out all the fabric from your stash to find the perfect one… that’s my favourite bit of the making process. x
Mine too – it’s the putting it all away again afterwards I’m less keen on!
