You may remember that last month I sent off my contributions to Mary Emmens’s vintage sheet swap.
Or you may not… I had almost forgotten myself actually, as I have been busy with other things recently.
I was reminded of the fact yesterday, when a mysterious jiffy bag arrived with the late post.
I couldn’t work out why it had my handwriting on it – my first (tellingly pessimistic!) thought was that someone was returning something they had bought from me.
But no…
I had simply forgotten about the gap between sending and receiving.
My jiffy bag was full of swap goodies!
I can’t quite get over how lovely they are.
I am a late convert to the joys of sewing with vintage sheets. I had obviously just never encountered the right ones.
The question now of course is what to do with them all. I think I might just stare at them for a little while.
For the moment, that seems quite enough. ♥
Yummy selection! I can empathise with the gloating for a bit.
Not gloating, just wallowing in their beauty! 🙂
Lovely! It’s nice to forget such things, it makes for a fun surprise. And yes, stare and fold, that’s what I tend to do. 😀 lol
They are very pretty.
What a beautiful selection! I find that staring at and admiring fabric for a little while is an important part of the sewing process… or, at least, that’s what I like to tell myself! 😉
They are gorgeous! Can’t wait to live back in the UK and scour charity shops for something similar!
Ooo they are lovely. Yes staring at them for a while seems quite fitting 🙂
