It has not been an easy weekend.
But when you need a change of scene, it is safe to say that there is nowhere quite like Chesil Beach for clearing your head.
It is always windy there, even on a day when the trees in the gardens are still. The salt spray stings your face. In winter, your fingers go numb before you can take a photo.
It is one of our favourite places on earth.
And sometimes the cold, and the wind, and the stark beauty of the sea – especially when shared with your loved ones – are just what’s needed.
It’s impossible to banish our particular cobwebs altogether at the moment.
But, for a little while at least, Chesil Beach can make you feel as though they have been blown clean away.
Hey sorry to hear you’re having a bit of a rough time. Looks like the best place for letting nature works its magic. Hope everything gets better soon. xx
Have only visited Chesil beach once ~ and it was wild ~ I love places like this, nature is a great healer. Beautiful post ~ wishing you well x
How stunning it looks…I hope you didn’t see any of those poor poor birds?
Bestest d x
What a beautiful place to go and clear your head … I hope all is well with you again very soon … Bee xx
Oh to walk a beach to clear the mind, if only for a little bit. This inspires me to try to visit a winter beach. Be well.
Lovely bit of coast, especially in Winter, and great pics — I ALWAYS have to photograph my feet on the beach!! Hope you feel clearer soon x
Thanks Sue. I’m ok. It’s just hard seeing the ones you love going through a difficult and painful time, especially so when there’s nothing you can do to change the situation.
