I have been working on something this week that has had me scratching my head a little bit.
I can’t show you any of it yet, but suffice to say it involves working something out.
Sometimes, working things out is fine. (As long as it’s not overly mathematical, of course. I long for the day when lad is willing and able to help me with that sort of thing, being that much more naturally gifted with numbers than I.)
However, I find that more often than not, working things out involves wasting fabric, shouting at the sewing machine, and muttering rude words under my breath.
I have managed to avoid the worst excesses of fabric wastage by confining my earlier efforts to plain (cheap) calico, rather than anything more colourful (expensive).
But there may just have been a little of the other two things.
Anyway, after a solid afternoon of tinkering with my workings out, I felt like I needed a break from working anything else out.
Lad was in bed, partner had gone off to his weekly footie session, and my intention was to put my feet up, put the telly on and find something thoroughly unchallenging and possibly even a bit guilty pleasure-ish to occupy the rest of the evening.
Wine was even poured.
But then I remembered I had an appointment next day… with a potential new stockist.
And at that realisation, a spark of something went off in my brain and all thoughts of splodging on the sofa immediately left the building.
Not long after, the little fella pictured emerged.
I took him with me to show the potential new stockist, despite only having been asked for cushions (I know, awful of me to presume…)
And guess what? I now have an order for ten more like him!
Anyway, to celebrate having an imminent new stockist (details to follow) and also to say thank you to all those people who have found and liked my page on Facebook (all 3000 of them! Amazing!) I have decided to give bunny boy here away.
Just leave me a comment here, on this blog post, before midnight on 30th September, to be in with a chance of winning bunny boy. (He’s a brooch, by the way).
I am happy to post him worldwide.
And by the time I announce a winner, if it’s not you, you might even be able to buy yourself a bunny boy from my new stockist.
Better get busy! ♥
He is so gorgeous would love to win him. Congratulations on your new stockist too.
He’s a sweetie, and would look adorable on my favourite shirt, if I were lucky enough to win him. Congratulations, on both the spark of genius and the nerve to take him along to show.
Soooooo cute.
I have a little relative who would give bunny boy a loving home. They have a birthday coming in November.
Love him! Very excited to hear about your new stockist, and looking forward to seeing your dolls in the Fashion & Textile Museum soon.
I don’t generally make the time to read / follow blogs but I have to say that I love yours and genuinely look forward to them popping up in my mail . Needless to say the opportunity of winning bunny boy propelled me to comment as he is completely adorable 🙂
