Just a quick post to let you know that there has been a last minute venue change for the Pretty Dandy Flea this coming weekend.
Apparently, the Congregational Hall, at which the previous fleas have been held, has been double-booked.
Anyone turning up there on Saturday will find a funeral, not a flea! Which could be somewhat embarrassing…!
The event has been moved to a combination of two venues – Broadway Cinema and the Creative Quarter building, which is about one minute’s walk from Broadway on Stoney Street and will be fully signposted.
My stall will be located in Broadway Cinema, which is on Broad Street. I’ll be upstairs in the Metz Bar all day on Saturday with all my goodies.
Hockley, the area where the new venues are located, is a brilliant area for shopping and eating out, stuffed to the gills with great little places. I used to work in Hockley, many moons ago, in my youth. Appropriately enough, the area was the historical heart of Nottingham’s lace and textiles industry.
Recommended local haunts are Edins deli/café for food and drink, White Rose for hand-picked vintage fashion, Wild Clothing for American vintage clothing and Kayal for sublime South Indian food (the best dosas in Nottingham!).
You can see more of the lovely stuff that will be on offer at the flea on Pinterest.
And just to further tempt you to come along to the flea, there’s now no admission charge. So don’t let the last minute venue change put you off coming!
After all, now you’ll be getting two fleas for the price of one.
Extra itchy! 🙂
