There are makers whose work I like.
And there are some makers whose work I love.
Anything by Viv of Hens Teeth falls definitely into the latter category.
My current crush is her hand stitched butterflies, made from vintage Suffolk puffs (sometimes known as yo-yos).Turned into pendants and brooches, they are so charming.
They are not, like some of the examples of textile moths doing the rounds on Pinterest at the moment, meant to look realistic.
But they have a higgledy-piggledy spark of life all of their own…
These hand stitched butterflies are available to buy from the Hens Teeth Etsy shop, or view more of Viv’s work on Facebook or via her blog.
If you want one of these pretties, you might have to be quick.
Before they all fly away. ♥
Viv is coming to the Harley weekend in November! I love her work too.
Do you mean the Mrs Bertimus workshop weekend Wend? I do hope I get to meet her, I love her stuff!
Thank you so much Modflowers for this post. Very kind of you and very much appreciated. So happy you like the Butterflies and I love your description. Thank you…viv
You are most welcome Viv! I have been a fan of your work for ages – it’s lovely to see and share what you create.
