Well, I had a great day at Sherwood Craft Fair on Saturday.
I didn’t manage to blog about it straight away, as I figured I deserved a bit of family time after all my hard work.
Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of the fair to share, as the day flew by with hardly a moment to spare.
But despite my selling quite a lot of things, I went home with more than I set out with.
Because two very generous people I know brought me along gifts of fabric…
Firstly, Wendy from Ticking Stripes gave me a lovely bundle of little pieces of wonderfulness, perfect for making dolls clothes.
I swapped her a fabric envelope she had her eye on in return. (Well, I eventually got her to accept it.)
I just love all those little prints!
My second gift of fabric came from Carly Dodsley. You may know of her, she is actually quite famous for her wonderful ceramic designs.
Well, she is also exceedingly generous, as she handed over to me a big pile of bold and beautiful vintage textiles…
I couldn’t get Carly to accept anything in return for her gift to me – although I did try, my powers of persuasion only stretch so far.
But I do hope that both she and Wendy will accept my heartfelt thanks.
And you can expect to see bits of some of the above fabrics making an appearance in my creations shortly. ♥
Gosh, a successful day all round, then. Lovely little packages of fabric goodness!
I know! I am going to send you a little something in return for the fabric you sent me – it had slipped off my to do list for a while but I am posting to Oz anyway so will pop something in the mail shortly. Share the love! x
Wonderful fabrics! Hope you had a grand time at the fair!
Well, it was certainly busy! I wish I’d had a little more time to shop and take photos, but the takings were as welcome as the fabrics so I can’t complain! x
What lovely gifts to come home with, not to mention the friendships involved. You absolutely deserve time off and free fabrics for working so hard. Glad to see you enjoyed yourself.
Thanks Sharon! I am all in favour of fabric gifts – it’s lovely to have new and unexpected patterns to inspire!
