It’s always good to help people if you can, I find.
Yesterday, I offered to help out a friend on her stall at Nottingham Vintage Fair.
I don’t think I was needed really, as it turned out.
But chatting, and providing a bit of back-up, just in case, was a most pleasant way to spend a Sunday.
I limited my purchasing to some much-needed black thread and a cheap but lovely pinny.
I even managed to resist the allure of those blue barkcloth cushions in the picture above.
Although I could have spent lots of money, I didn’t.
So despite declining all those lovely things on offer, I went home very happy. ♥
Golly, I’m in awe at your self restraint! Can’t help thinking I would have gone a bit mad, myself….
I deliberately didn’t bring much money with me as I knew it would be hard to resist! I was helped by the fact that there was nowhere (except the loos) to try on the frocks, and that I told myself I was there to help a friend, not to help myself! 🙂
What a beautiful space for a fair!
Yes! It is, isn’t it? It’s the Albert Hall in Nottingham. There is also a rather less glamorous downstairs bit (all swirly carpets and low ceilings), but the upstairs main hall is spectacular!
Ooof! Those cushions are super – delish. Kudos for staying strong in the face of those beauties!
