Gifts. Sometimes, like buses, they all seem to come at once.
My lovely little pile of goodies above, however, weren’t birthday or Christmas gifts. They came out of the blue, from two friends made over the interweb.
A vintage book on making felt dolls from around the world. An unused printed souvenir tea towel. A vintage collar.
And those pretty pieces of feedsack-inspired printed fabrics.
How lovely they all are, and how lovely that they were sent to me!
They say that what goes around comes around. Well, I don’t know about that – I don’t believe in karma, after all.
But I do believe in doing a good turn when the opportunity presents itself.
So the other day, when I spotted a certain vintage item that I thought an internet friend might like, I sent a photo.
And soon, at their request, it will be winging it’s way in their direction.
As will a couple of the little frocks from my post of the other day – snaffled up and sent to another internet friend, who fancied them for her daughter.
Ins and outs, comings and goings.
All part of the interweb’s rich tapestry of inter-woven friendships and favours.
Trolls? Never heard of ’em. They, it goes without saying, need not apply. ♥
It’s all about paying it forward… and despite all the hideousness that happens on the internet, it’s still filled with people who are kind, who give a damn about total strangers, and who want to do something to make the world a better place. Enjoy your goodies!
I’m glad you liked the little collection of oddities! And I’m glad that the horrible old internet brought us together for a walk on a beach, on a sunny day, to swap stories and make memories xxx
