Sometimes, although you know it’s irrational, you just want things.
This doesn’t mean that you necessarily go and out get the things, but the desire is there nonetheless.
So it is with me and vintage sewing baskets.
It’s not that I collect them. I don’t have any, actually – just my lovely sewing box, which appears in this photo:
My sewing box suits me just fine.
But I do like vintage sewing baskets.
It’s not even as though I would find a sewing basket useful. They’re far too small to fit all my bits and bobs in.
I don’t need one and I wouldn’t use one.
But I still really like vintage sewing baskets. ♥
Your 5th photo is the sewing box that I didn’t need but had to buy from Something fine! I love them too.
Haha! That’s funny! Your sewing box has an online life all of it’s own! 🙂
They are a joy aren’t they. My favourite is my Nan’s which I have left full of the contents it had when it came to me. Every now and again it produces just what I need and I swear I can still smell her perfume! Have another car boot find that smells more like a cat yawning every time I lift that lid!
I would put that one on a high shelf and admire it from afar!
Or get one of those glass domes for it 😉
Love them all and can see why you would like them. I used to have a sewing box like your own one and got rid of it – I wish I hadn’t.
Ah, the regret of hindsight eh?! 😉
Very cute I want them all!!
I can see why! They’re all so lovely. Perhaps they could serve another purpose and then you could justify buying one or two more. 0:)
