Oh, I do love a nice table mat!
I don’t have any really good ones though.
My kitchen drawer is full of scorched, ugly cork monstrosities and wipe-clean plastic mats from Ikea.
The problem I have with pretty table mats is that they just aren’t very practical.
Because the thing is, when you have boys that spray food around quite liberally at mealtimes, you need something that you can wipe clean afterwards.
I just couldn’t bear to see lovely mats like these, all from classy online vintage emporium Classic Modern, get covered in curry or splodged with soup.
So these vintage beauties will have to remain, for me, just eye-candy. ♥
I was thinking of you the last twice I was in a local charity shop. They have about 2 mts of cotton fabric with that first purple blue design on it! (Could be a little more than 2 mts but looked to be at least that)
I thought of you saying you loved the designs on that fabric. The store have it priced up at £6, which I feel it is worth, its pristine. I cant justify buying it for me, Id never use it but I just loved it all the same.
No idea what postage would be from the Uk but if you wanted to pay the costs and the £6 I’d be happy to get it for you. I should have taken a photo of it, didn’t think about that then!
Thanks for thinking of me Lyn! Where in the world are you?
