Yesterday I posted about my fabric from Julie of Vintage Attitude – well, this is the other thing in my parcel!
Isn’t it kitschtastic?!
It’s actually vintage wrapping paper. Presumably for wrapping wedding gifts.
The illustration reminds me very much of this:
That is a Sadler porcelain pot, bought in a local Oxfam shop.
Although they’re definitely not by the same artist, there is a remarkable similarity in colours and style.
The pot is, as you can see, signed “Foster”, whereas the paper is published by Royle and has this signature:I love the details…
If I was the marrying type, I’d love a bit of this at my wedding.
As it is, I have no idea what I’m going to do with my paper – yet.
Julie has wallpapered her loo with hers – you can see the results here.
And I also have enough for a substantial project – not one, not two, but TEN sheets of it! 🙂
I’m sure an opportunity to use it will come along soon.
Well, you can’t pass up a bit of kitsch when it comes your way, can you? ♥
Thanks so much for all the people you sent to my FB page. Really appreciate your support. X
You’re most welcome. Share the love! 🙂 Just one tip: make sure you’re posting to your facebook page as Vintage Attitude, rather than as your personal profile (you switch identities at the top of the page, or if you’re on ipad/mobile the Pages app makes it easier to post as your page). Otherwise, your posts end up in that “posts by others” section to the right of the page and the photos don’t display in your page timeline.
Yea…Sussed that yesterday after much frustration!!! Cheers x
