And so, the manic making continues.
You may remember the magic mushrooms I made previously. Well, I made more.
In fact, I liked their be-hatted silliness so much that I decided to make a whole flippin’ forestload of them. Well, more like a dozen or so, actually.
But still, I have been quite industrious.
I broke my “it’s got to be vintage” rule with these though, by using new calico for the stems (do mushrooms have stems? stalks? trunks?)
And I also invested in some of these…
Mini poms.
Lots of ’em.
They add a pleasing bobbly-ness to some of my mushies…
I also added a few sequins to some of the gang too…
Well, it is nearly Christmas, right?
Now I’ve just got to work out how to display my mushroom menagerie.
I have a vase of twiggy stuff I picked up on one of our woodland walks. Although unfortunately, the perfect display branch I had visualised did not, alas, present itself.
It pleases me that they look a bit like little parachutes floating down.
I have also kindly been offered the loan of a fake tree made of rubber.
I am not sure exactly how I feel about one of those. I am not altogether keen on rubbery things, although I do not suffer from my partner’s aversion – he can never bring himself to wear Marigolds, for which I always pity him when there is something unpleasant to clean up.
I shall see what charms the rubber tree holds on Friday – and whether I think it can invoke some magic mushroom mania in my customers.
It’s nice to have options when it comes to flaunting my fungi. ♥
I’d like to see how the gang looked adorning a little Christmas tree…
I love the way you reuse fabric and embellish it
So cute – you have such a great sense of humor and fun.
They look like fun guys! ????
