So this is what I’m currently busy with.
My kitchen and living room have become a doll factory.
There have been – and still are – dolls at various different stages of completion scattered, nay strewn across every available surface.
The kitchen floor has acquired a dusty coating made up, in equal parts, of neglect and stuffing.
I have little piles of bits of doll anatomy…
Yes, I am making a mess. Sometimes I wish I had a dedicated studio space.
But mostly I don’t.
Thankfully my family are messy souls and don’t really seem to notice.
And me?
I love it all. ♥
Your doll parts are not nearly as scary as the pink plastic variety! They are so beautifully clothed, and I like the fabric you have chosen for the faces – a little bit of countryside ‘tan’ to emphasise the elfin nature of your creatures.
The facial fabric is linen, supplied by Sarah Campbell especially for the job! Normally I use vintage tablecloths – the bits in between the embroidery and stains, that would otherwise go to waste.
Some wonderful new fabrics I don’t think I’ve see before? The leaf print and bird print in particular.
They will make some very handsome little fellows!

They are Sarah Campbell designs for Michael Miller Fabrics – new, not vintage. Very nice too!
