The other day I had the pleasure of popping into town on an errand.
As is my way, I managed to find time for a quick charity shop rummage session along the way. Whilst in Oxfam, I spotted a couple of beauties – a pair of striking 1970s hand-embroidered pictures.
So I snapped a quick picture for instagram, which I also shared on facebook…
Where, as it so happened, one of my followers took a serious shine to the item on the right.
Next day, I was back there again – to snaffle it.
Not for me, for her.
The results of my rummage-at-second-hand-via-instagram will be off by courier to their new owner soon.
I am very happy to be able to assist in this insta-affair of the heart.
It’s just a small favour, to help facilitate a huge happy-ever-after.
After all, there’s no way in the world I could stand in the way of true love. ♥
It’s nice to be able to make someone happy. What happened to the other one…?
Still in the shop when I went to collect! And reduced in price to £22 – there was a label on it saying they’d noticed some damage, but I couldn’t see anything in particular wrong with it.
Wow, that is quite splendid! So nice that you were able to grab it for her!
Both amazing pieces!
I love that so much. This post inspired me to refresh my very rusty embroidery skills and I’ve just started work on a mini sampler, thank you!
So happy to be a source of inspiration – and good luck with the embroidery!
What a happy tale – the power of Instagram 🙂
