One of the things I wanted to do this year at Christmas was decorate some wrapping paper instead of just buying the usual roll of printed stuff. So I ordered some different colours of card twine and bought some brown parcel paper. And then I set to work. I tried to use things I already had in the house for decoration. So I kept it low cost, simple and tried to use recycled things wherever possible.
I had some off-cuts of branches from our Christmas tree. So using the twine and some small pieces of branch, I curled them round to form a bit of a wreath.
Then I created a few other different designs:
A circle cut out from some wrapping paper and then stuck to some branches. Very simple to do and would also look great with some vintage fabric or wallpaper.
One for the kiddos – I cut out an old Christmas card Santa and then just stuck it on. This is one to do together with kids for their friends presents. It gives them a lovely personal touch.
And then how about this, using a tree ornament, you can stick it down and pass it on to someone else to hang on their tree.
All fun and easy to do! Thanks for reading. Have a great day everyone. x
Gorgeous!
These are lovely Jen! We’ve been making Hama bead Christmas tree decorations think I’ll make a few extra for adding to presents! x
Really lovely Jen … so simple and elegant … Bee xx
Wow – pretty!
Wow, those gifts look too lovely to open! x
This is beautiful and such a lovely, simple idea. I also use brown paper year round and this year I’ve been decorating my Christmas parcels with wool and dried oranges. I like to use a bit of nature instead of all the glitter. Your leaves work really well. x
