So, you may remember, or you may not, that it was suggested recently, after my boy dolls emerged, that I make a boy in a suit.
Pinstripes were mentioned.
Well, the idea has churned around in my brain ever since…
I thought about miniature tailoring. I rejected, and then revisited the idea of using felt.
I trawled all the local charity shops for some “suitable” material (see what I did there?!)
It wasn’t that easy… tiny weeny pinstripes are in short supply, apparently.
And then I found a toddler shirt for 25p – and I was all set.
But I’m not one for sober tailoring really. My boys, both the ones I create and in real life, have more of a hippy aesthetic.
So what you see here is the nearest to a suit I decided to go.
He has trousers, of a sort. More like breeches really. And a waistcoat.
And, the finishing touch, a cravat.
It’s not a sober outfit. He reminds me a little of a barge-hand. Or a folk singer.
But, nonetheless, I quite like how he’s turned out. ♥
Donovan perhaps?! Love him – he has such a sweet expression on his face.
He’s a carnival hand from Victorian times! I love him, he’s a spruce young gentleman.
He is cool! Love girl bunny as well! Peace!
He’s gorgeous!
I think he’s fabulous – a relaxed colourful vibe is definitely the way to go! xx
