So, I hear tell that winter is on it’s way.
It was warm yesterday, but I am steeling myself for the impending cold.
I tried on all my woolly hats the other day and – alas – I can’t find my favourite vintage fair isle beret. I’ve had it for years, but it seems to have just disappeared into thin air.
Plus, the bargain neon pink one that has also served me very well in recent years appears to have faded in colour, and consequently has lost some of its charm.
So I am on the lookout for a replacement. A bit of fair isle… not too expensive, nice colours…
I’ll know it when I see it. But thus far I can’t find one that’s quite right.
If you spot a nice one, do let me know.
It’s at times like this that I wish I could knit. ♥
The ones you have here are all super-cute! I never thought of a fair isle beret as an option . . . hmmm . . . .
Well, I think you’ve found some lovely ones! I’ll keep my eyes out! A good hat is a very important item 🙂 I’m afraid these days I go for comfort all the way and I have a most marvellous woolly fleece lined number with a pom pom on top – and an owl one of course 🙂
Some of the ones pictured are nice, but they’re either too expensive, sold out, or not for sale…
Oh wow, I love the four at the top! Too bad they aren’t already made up… I haven’t knitted in years, otherwise I’d offer to make one for you. Don’t forget to show us if you find one! 🙂
Will do! I thought I’d found one in Primark, of all places, today for £2, but when I tried it on it was tiny (kept popping off my head!) and made my head look a funny shape!
