I have been busy this weekend. Working on commissions.
My sister is a lover of my vintage fabrics, so amongst the commissions on my to do list are a number of items for her own personal shopping list.
Including these two cushions.
They have been specially made with tough, dark grey canvas fabric on the reverse (the last in my stash) instead of the usual white cotton, to make them more hardwearing.
Because my sister has a very large and naughty dog. An Irish Wolfhound called Aihlbe (pronounced Al-bee).
They don’t mix well with white cotton.
I can’t really claim that the cushions will stand up to everything Aihlbe can throw at them.
Dog slobber, mud and that wiry wolfhound hair spring to mind.
But hopefully I’ve managed to make them just a little more paw proof than usual. ♥
Love that hairy boy…..and the cushions of course!
Cute dog! Only the best for man’s (or sister’s) best friend.
They’re gorgeous! I love the green fabric! I got some strong grey fabric last time I was at Ikea, thinking I would use it for cushion cover backs – it has a large floral print, though, so won’t work with everything…
