Despite being a feminist, in many ways I am quite a girly girl (anyone mention flowers?)
Even so, I don’t go in for a lot of frilly stuff usually.
But I just fancied using a bit of lace to make something a tad girly over the weekend.
Perhaps it is a reaction to the constant influence of being outnumbered by boys in my household.
Anyway, this is what resulted…
These slightly girlier-than-usual mice are made from one of the vintage hankies I got a while back, with some genuine antique lace from my nanna’s stash, and antique pearl beads for noses, from a long-broken necklace.
I like to think that the previous owners of all of these bits and bobs would be happy to see them recycled into pearly girly rodents, rather than ending up in the bin. ♥
Love them! They remind me of weddings somehow – perhaps it’s the lace? 🙂
