So the petal people pins have progressed!
I ordered a sample pack of stick pins, just to see what they were like. (Because in my experience you never really know whether something is worth your money until you see it in the flesh.)
The pins were perfect. So I ordered some more, and got on with sewing them onto my petal people.
I have actually spent most of the weekend looking at and thinking about flowers of one type or another.
Now that the weather has finally broken into a wonderful first flush of spring warmth, we have been taking full advantage and getting out into the countryside for some real-life petal perusal.
On Saturday, we wandered through bluebells at Shining Cliff. And on Sunday, we dawdled amid a million dandelions on the Monsal Trail, in glorious sunshine.
Plus, I have been scouring Pinterest and online gardening sites for ideas on what to put in the new flower bed I have just finished digging.
Penstemons are looking likely. If, that is, I can prevent my partner from filling it with courgette plants. Better get planting, methinks.
So my back and fingers are both sore from flower-related activities, and my legs ache from walking through the spring blooms.
It feels wonderful.
Yay to springtime!
And double yay to petal power. ♥
The petal pins are positively peachy perfect 🙂 and the sun has felt soooo good. x
Yes it has! And thank you! x
Love the petal pins, such a cheery idea! I also love courgette flowers so I’d vote for a mixed border –
Good luck!
I am prepared to make room for one courgette plant Christina, but my border is small!
Are we getting stick pin kitties too… pretty please? Love your pretty petal faces, the perfect little stick pin of sunshine on your lapel.
Yes, there will be stick pin kitties!
They are adorable! The Monsal Trail looks good, we’ll have to give that a go.
