It’s great to get back into making things.
Sometimes, especially after a break, it’s hard to get started up again.
The making cogs need a spot of oiling.
It’s not so much the making itself, but more the deciding what to make. Once that bit’s out of the way, the rest just follows.
But if there’s one thing guaranteed to get me going, it’s rummaging through my fabric stash looking for pretty pairings.
There’s nothing quite like a lovely bit of vintage fabric to make you feel inspired and get the creative juices flowing again.
Unless it’s finding two bits of vintage fabric that go together. ♥

I love a good rummage, because sometimes it results in pairings I’d never have considered unless the two fabrics somehow sat together in the scrap box.
Yes! That’s the reason I love my scraps bag so much – seeing all the bits of colours together in a big jumble makes me pick out combinations I might not have thought of otherwise.
That’s my favourite bit of making – takes me the longest too – and makes the most mess!!!
