Sometimes the things you stumble across by accident when browsing on Etsy are just amazing.
Like these wonderful mid-century prints by Charles Woods and David Osborn.
The pair were graphic artists and partners from the San Francisco Bay Area. They moved to Nevada City, California in 1957, where they began their lifelong work of art and cultural preservation that lasted until they died, David in 2002 and Charles in 2011.
The posters on sale are originals which have been in storage for many years. When they are gone, they are gone.
You can see the full selection available on Etsy here.
I might have to add one to my Christmas list…♥
Love them too x
Swwwwoooooooooonnnnnning!
Ooo, I love that first one. Unfortunately it already sold… 🙂
So did the one I had my eye on Erica! Occupational hazard of sharing things on the interweb – probably should have bought it first! 🙂
Keep your eyes peeled if you want to buy one Erica – I’ve had an email from the shop owner and they will be re-stocking shortly.
Got it! I almost bought another, but I only have so much wall space. I need to fill it with first picks only. 🙂 Did your favorite come back?
Yes! Better than that, the shop owner contacted me and is most generously sending me one for free to say thank you for the blog post! I’m totally blown away by their generosity! I did offer to pay postage from the States, but they said no. I chose The Ark print. I love that blue and it struck a chord with me as my lad’s name is Noah.
That’s wonderful! Well deserved. I would never have known if it weren’t for you… Good choice too. 🙂
