I promised yesterday to share my final couple of buys from my epic Hopkinson spree.
I thought I’d split them between two posts because a) I didn’t want to go on and on, and b) I think that this one in particular is rather special and deserves a bit more attention than I could find the time to give it yesterday.
Isn’t this fabric sooper-dooper spesh?!
I think it’s the nicest bit of material I have bought for a while. It’s in perfect condition too, no fading or stains.
It is, of course, a curtain. A barkcloth curtain, to be precise, so it has that lovely nubbly texture.
There is no curtain tape, but there is a narrow rod pocket at the top.
I am exceedingly tempted to keep it as a curtain. Although that would probably mean redecorating the entire bathroom to accommodate it (the bathroom being the only room in the house in which the window is the right size for it).
I am not sure that I can bear to ever cut into it.
I shall, however, be cutting into this, as it has been bought for my vintage tea towel commission.
It is perfect, as the person who commissioned me had just returned from holidaying in Norfolk when we discussed the project!
So there they are, my pride and joy.
Well, one more than the other really.
Can you guess which one? 🙂
Oooooooh so lovely…and so you! x
Such a ‘happy’ design. Love it.
More fabulousness! We are truly blessed that these lovelies have survived and end up in such appreciative hands……Enjoy!
Oh that is an amazing find – super gorgeous. Ha! I know you don’t want to cut in to it, but I want cushions! xx
Reblogged this on Amanda's Words / starfire8me and commented:
I LOVE THEM BOTH. AND YOU HAVE A KNACK FOR PICKING FABRICS….
Oh my you really did save the best til last. Totally gorgeous 🙂
That floral fabric is fabulous. So jealous. Can’t imagine what you’ll be making from the tea towel though. Have I missed a post?
The tea towels are for a project that I haven’t quite revealed yet!
