I consider myself pretty good at prioritising.
In my previous job-from-hell, there were never enough hours in the day to do everything and consequently, prioritising was something I had to do rather a lot of.
I have stuff to sort out. Some of it is really important. And I have an impending holiday.
Somehow, the latter managed to eclipse the former on Sunday. Priorities went askew.
Instead of sorting out stuff I should have been prioritising, I ended up buying a holiday frock.
Actually, after exhaustive research on Peter Ferrel, the designer of my holiday vintage frockery (I googled him), I am wondering whether it is, in fact, not a frock after all that I have bought, but a nightie.
The only other designs by Peter that I found were dressing gowns, so this seems entirely possible.
However, once I have worked a little alteration magic upon it, I’m sure nobody in Australia will be any the wiser.
And it was possibly the cheapest holiday frock in town.
Plus – added bonus – It’s not crimplene, but cotton.
It’s a little bit warm for manmade fibres in Australia.
It’s a maxi, so once I’ve chopped a chunk off the hemline I’ll have some of that lovely cotton painterly-floral-with-neon-highlights fabric for sewing with too.
So all in all, although my priorities might have gone a bit awry, I think I can live with it. ♥
it could be a kaftan-y housedress from the neckline . . but whatever . . it is gorgeous and a bargain for cotton to boot ! :0)
A great find and thank you for adding “frockery” to my vocabulary 🙂
You’re most welcome! I think most words can be improved by the addition of “-ery” on the end, when the occasion requires it.
