I grew up in West Bridgford.
When my parents bought their home there, in the early 1960s, there was no such thing as a tapas bar. Probably not even in London.
But times have changed. There is a tapas bar in West Bridgford now…
And I took my wares there for yesterday’s and today’s pop-up Christmas shop.
It seemed an unlikely place to have a pop-up gift shop.
But when you think about it, being able to sip wine and nibble on posh tidbits whilst browsing lovely handmade goodies does sound like a pretty good idea, doesn’t it?
I bought some things. But alas, I can’t show you them in case their recipients spot them.
I can however show you my (very trimmed down) stall…
Well, you can’t fit that much into a bag you can carry on the bus.
I was pre-warned that it was a small stall – and through bitter experience I have learned my lesson about attempting to drag a trunkful of cushions across town.
Small but perfectly formed is the way to go. Rather than hernia-inducing space-hoggery.
When I left, not everyone was all set up yet, but it was already looking great. It even got me feeling Christmassy (which is no mean feat, as that normally doesn’t occur until Christmas Eve at the earliest.)
If you’re anywhere near West Bridgford, Nottingham, Escabeche Christmas Market is popping up again tomorrow.
Why not pop in? ♥
Update:
And this is what it looks like now it’s all set up and running…
Cool, huh? ♥
