I haven’t been able to get on with any sewing for what feels like weeks.

It’s tricky in the summer holidays. If I had more than one child I would feel less guilty about leaving them to amuse themselves.

But lad is on his own.

He has the odd day with friends, but even then, I’m often catering, or supervising-at-a-distance.

In the evenings my partner is home. I sew in the rear half of the living room, and it’s not very sociable to spark up the machine whilst he’s watching tv.

So I don’t. Which means that other than grabbing a few minutes here and there, I don’t get to sew.

I’m missing it.

I have been a good mum for the entire holidays so far.

But today, I have decided to leave lad to his new book and his computer games for a while and snatch a few hours sewing.

If anyone has any good ideas as to how I can get to pull off a few more snatch-and-grabs, please do tell. ♥
