I realise that I keep going on about it, but it really should be spring now.
I know this because today I am supposed to be going to the Selvedge Spring Fair in London – “a celebration of spring” pipes the Selvedge website.
I have been looking forward to this for weeks – no, months. A day out on the train and a chance to wander around soaking up lots of textile-related gorgeousness amongst like-minded souls… I mean, how brilliant does that sound?
Not only that, I have a press pass waiting for me (get me!) and will be meeting Holly Becker of Decor8 fame for a special bloggers get together at the event!
I am not one given to squealing (so undignified!) but I will admit to a restrained internal squeal or two at the prospect.
Except – there is a fly in my ointment.
It has been snowing. An inch or so here, but more elsewhere. The radio keeps mentioning – with worrying frequency – travel disruption and “severe weather warnings”.
I’ll let you know if I get there.
Or if there’s the need to send out a search party somewhere between Nottingham and London…
Sounds super exciting! I hope you make it, at least the Notts – London train is a mainline route. Can’t wait to hear all about it and see photos. A press pass – impressive! Good for you, enjoy!
Wow, it sounds like an awesome fair.
It’s funny that the weather is still like winter over there, because we’re getting typical summer weather here is Aussie land, complete with hot hot days and storms at night. Bizzare!
I hope you get there, I’m sure it’ll be so inspiring!
