So who’s Ada Bea?
Well, it’s not my actual name, that’s Amanda (well I am a child of the 60’s!). Ada Bea was my Grandma. It’s also the nickname my Mum gave me when I was little. My Grandma loved her home, she loved colour, she loved design.
When I used to ‘faff’ around rearranging my bedroom, Mum would say I was just like Ada Bea!
Mum herself was a Crafty Soul, she loved to sew, knit, garden, cook (that gene passed me by!). She was always buying old furniture and putting her twist on it. Back then it was plain old second hand stuff, not vintage as it is now!
Not only do I physically resemble these two wonderful women, but I’m a real mix of the both, I love colour and design like my Grandma, and I have my Mum’s Crafty Ways!
Grandma is no longer with us, and although my Mum is still here, she has Alzheimer’s and so can’t remember who I am anymore, or indeed that she used to call me Ada Bea.
When I made the decision to start my blog, I felt Ada Bea come alive again, I love being Ada Bea! My blog, after all is all about my crafty ways, colour and the things I love!
Thanks so much for putting up with me over the last week or so, I’ve enjoyed my visits here! As a parting gift I would like to offer you a 15% discount in my Etsy Shop, please quote MOD15, at the checkout, it will continue until Sunday 13th January.
