Day eight of my stash stories. A fabric a day from my stash, with it’s story.
Doesn’t time fly! By now I’m well and truly in the holiday groove.
Fabric number eight is a classic 1970s Heals fabric, Rose Walk by Heather Brown.
I’m actually a bit ashamed of myself every time I look at it.
Another evilbay purchase, when it arrived I wasn’t a happy bunny. The fabric had previously been a pair of curtains and it is really faded. Big stripes of fading down all the sides, with patches extending right across the fabric.
I’ve chosen the best bits for these photos.
I launched into a critical bit of feedback on ebay and hit send. Not a negative rating, but a few choice words suggesting that the extent of the fading should’ve been mentioned.
And the seller responded. They said they had mentioned the fading. And had even given measurements of how much of it there was.
I checked the listing. And they had. And I felt terrible.
Because I’d had some kind of senior moment where I’d either not read the description properly, or I’d read it and then promptly forgotten it. Ouch.
So I apologised.
But I still feel bad when I think about it. ♥
