I think I have been suffering from a newly-identified syndrome.
I had no idea I was afflicted until a little while ago, when I made a batch of velvet kitties.
I was, as usual, rushing to get them done.
When I saw how they had turned out I was, not to sound too big-headed, pretty pleased with them. I took their photos, made their travelling bags, parcelled them up, sent them off, got on with making the next thing.
And then I got an email that told me that I had forgotten something.
Their tails.
My kitties were not supposed to be Manx cats. I had to make up a batch of tails and send them off to their recipient, who very generously forgave me my omission and sewed the tails on herself.
So far so foggy-brained.
But then I did it again. Another cat order, another tale of tail-lessness and woe.
This time I actually realised what I’d done and tried to retrieve the parcel from the post office, but alas, it had already been despatched. So I had to forward another tail by rush post.
Needless to say I felt awful about it.
Why is it only cat tails that seem to have this effect on me? I have decided that I must be suffering from Acaudate Cecity syndrome.
Taillessness blindness.
I just finished this batch of kitties.
My niece Esmi is staying with us at the moment and thankfully she does not suffer from this debilitating syndrome. (I hope she doesn’t catch it from me.)
Fortunately, she was on hand at a crucial moment to remind me that, before packing up these kitties for their journey out into the big wide world, I still had their tails to make.
Thus we have narrowly avoided what could so easily have been another tail fail. ♥
P.S. These cats will be available to buy shortly from Sarah Campbell Designs
I think I’d have been so entranced by their soft, velvety plushness and their incredibly boho-chic outfits that I wouldn’t have missed a tail. But could there maybe be a gold earring or two…?
I adore this group of cats. Your tail fail woes gave me several giggles this morning. At least the affected felines will have a grand tale should they ever decide to tell their life stories.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed reading of my tail failings!
They are so adorable, tail or not!
❤️🙂
