I mentioned some while ago that I was receiving some business advice.
As well as one-to-one sessions with an advisor, every couple of months I meet up with a group of local artists, photographers and craftspeople for an information, skill sharing and networking session.
Well, yesterday I was the one providing the information. For the first time in years, I gave a talk, something I used to do regularly in one of my previous employments.
The talk was about social media – what it’s for, what can be got out of using it, how to get started. (I’m no expert, but I think they were a bit desperate.)
I was worried beforehand that an hour would be a long, long time to fill. But actually, it flew by.
I do hope that people found it useful. Although, I think I possibly got a bit carried away. I did far more talking than I intended.
Anyway, I was exhausted afterwards, so no sewing got done during the afternoon.
And a large glass of wine was called for in the evening. ♥
I wish I could have been there! You know so much, and are so rocking the blog and social media. We can all learn a lot from you. 🙂
You’re too kind Sue! I’m really no expert, I just picked things up as I went along. If I can do it, anyone can. And I’ve yet to work out how to translate it into actually earning a decent living, which for me is the ultimate challenge!
