I have to admit, I am the sort who is apt to procrastinate.
I do have a tendency towards putting off until tomorrow what could have been done today. Or even yesterday.
But I did, at last, get around to finishing one little job this week.
I bought a couple of vintage maxi skirts quite a few months ago. I liked the prints…
And, as ever, their sheer cheapness recommended them to me.
I also had another crafty little thought at the back of my mind…
That is, being substantially too long for me (I am not tall) I would, if I shortened my maxis, end up with not only a pair of new skirts – but with two nice bits of fabric to boot!
Always one with a beady eye for a bargain, a quick bit of stitching seemed a reasonable compromise for such a thrifty outcome.
Though the long and the short of it is…
It’s taken me rather longer than I anticipated. And I still have the other one to do.
Perhaps there are no true shortcuts to a bargain, after all. ♥
Looking good! I’ve *nearly* bought skirts and dresses so many times with the idea of adjusting them to fit, but I know I would never get round to it and they would just sit there….Good work on finishing it!
