Ahh, the weekend! How pleasant! And what better way to spend it than trawling a few charity shops!
Actually, I usually find my best bargains early- or mid-week, when everyone else is at work and the shops have had time to sort through and put on display all the things that got donated the previous weekend.
Nevertheless, there’s still nothing I enjoy more after a few leisurely cups of tea than Saturday morning thrifting.
Yesterday’s thrift of the day was this set of vintage napkins. I’m guessing that there were originally eight of them, but only seven remain.
Never mind. They’re in perfect condition – no stains or marks – and are so very pretty.
Now, the question is, what to do with them? ♥
Lovely! You could use them as napkins…
Funnily enough, that had actually never occurred to me! But having now considered it I don’t think allowing my family to slop food all over them is an option I would welcome!
True…that’s a lot of white space just waiting for a tomato stain.
Those are VERY pretty! And, speaking from experience, you NEVER find the full set, it always seems to be 3 or 5 or 7 . . .
You could make some beautiful bunting with the napkins, so pretty. I love thrifting too, last week I found an Irish linen placemat & napkin set in my local charity shop here in Sydney.
Happy days!

Fabulous Vintage
Oh they were a great find … so pretty … the flowers make a perfect frame … could you add something to the centre, embroidery or applique maybe and then make cushions or out in a frame as textile art … Bee xx
What a fabulous find! They might make a pretty pocket on a frock? My charity shop luck has not been great lately, but I live in hope 🙂
