Yesterday I actually got down to some making.
I’ve been distracted lately by the dandelion takeover of our lawn and the slightly addictive nature of the tool that levers them up by the roots.
But after scrubbing the dirt from my fingers yesterday, I fancied undertaking a small project.
Small being the operative word…
I loved making these tiny little ears!
At least, until I had to sew them on by hand anyway. They were very fiddly and resulted in a good few pricks to my dandelion-stained fingers.
But aren’t they cute?!After the finger-pricking got a bit out of hand yesterday evening I got fed up of embroidering noses.
And I had a brainwave…
How about press-stud noses instead?
They still required stitching on with tiny stitches, but I like the result…
My little mice, once stuffed, will go on sale at my next stall at the Sherwood Secret Garden Craft Fair in June.
Although…
I might get my own back on them for my poor fingers –
And pop one or two of the little devils into a cat cushion’s pocket. ♥
Mikki thought the mice would make nice phone/ ipod cases.
Yes, I thought of that whilst I was stitching them – thanks Mikki! Might have to experiment!
Very cute meeces!
Those little mice are just fabulous! They make all the difference in a cat’s pocket – I love mine!
These are so cute!
