I realised when I wrote Thursday’s post that I hadn’t taken any photos of my completed twinkling stars quilt.
So, being a lovely afternoon yesterday. I decided to put that right.
It’s a large-ish lap quilt size, lightweight and just right for throwing over a sofa or curling up with of an evening.
It’s made from a mixture of new and vintage fabrics.
The back incorporates a few extra blocks I had made when I planned on possibly doing a bigger quilt.
I’m especially happy with the scrappy binding.
It was the first time I had attempted it, and it just ties all the colours in the quilt together nicely.
I’ll be taking this quilt along to The Secret Garden Craft Fair next weekend, and if it doesn’t sell there, I’ll pop it in my shop.
I still have another quilt top to finish. Somewhere…
If I can just find where I stashed it when the quilting fear set in. ♥
yes, love the bound edge!
Nothing nicer than a coordinating scrappy binding! A very pretty quilt, I hope you sell it.
It’s gorgeous! I’m sure it will sell.
Very pretty! I’ve always wanted to make a quilt! 🙂
Have a go! I never thought i could do it until I tried!
