I was making more plushies yesterday.
Some for my stall on Saturday, and some for a new stockist.
They have a variety of vintage fabrics on the reverse…
Today I will be stuffing them.
My least favourite bit of the making process is stuffing. Trying to push little bits of white fluffy stuff into every nook and cranny. And there are more crannies than you’d think in these plushies, believe you me.
Plus, quite a lot of it seems to deposit itself on me. I can sometimes end up looking like I’ve had a fight with a bag of cotton wool.
It’s pretty amazing how much stuffing you can fit into such little things.
It takes quite a while to get it all packed in.
But it’s worth it in the end, I think. ♥
A bag of stuffing can last me years, but I recently had to order some more, it arrived in a plastic bag which I assumed was just the outer packaging, so I tore into it and realised too late that it wasn’t, there was an explosion of stuffing as it decompressed!!
Oh no! Snow storm! ❄
So worth it! Funnily enough, it’s the bit I love best in a way – because they all come to life. I love your creations – they always make me smile :0)
Thanks Naomi!
I always feel that it’s when the eye gets sewn on (for bird cushions) that they come to life!
You’ve been busy! I agree on the stuffing everywhere, but I don’t mind it too much. And it’s about all the use my knitting needles get nowadays…
