I got a lovely parcel in the post at the start of the weekend.
It was my order from Winter’s Moon, which arrived quicker than expected.
I spotted these vintage birthday cards, unused stock from the 1970s, a few days ago and just loved the look of them…
It’s a good job they were so well packaged though.
They arrived a little the worse for wear, the result of our usual nice lady postie being on holiday. Whoever is acting as her replacement stuffed them through the letterbox in less-than-gentle fashion.
I had to undertake a little judicious flattening before installing them in a frame (which I repainted white from old orange pine).
But now they are brightening up the mantlepiece in my bedroom no end.
I love the fanciful colours and wild, abstract floral patterns…
The frame only took three of the four cards, so I have another one to use elsewhere, or to send to someone.
Although, I’m not sure I know of anyone who would love it quite as much as I do. ♥
lovely!
Love these! 🙂
They’re beautiful! I think I love them too. Bee xx
Oh I think they look fabulous – I love the colours and warmth. And I love how you’ve displayed them – you are very good at leaving lots of space for things to be properly enjoyed. I’m still working on the clutter – my problem is I love too much!!!
I have the same problem. Sometimes I think the only reason I want to move house is so that I have the excuse to get a load of new stuff and display it all over again!
(Not really – but you know what I mean! :))
